WATER SOFTENER
If Valley Plumbing as installed a water
softener in your home please note the following suggestions:
1.
Use only good quality white pellets (Mortons or Cargill).
2.
DO NOT use any rock salt or any other inexpensive salt. They contain silica sand and will cause damage to
your softener.
3.
We suggest putting in no more the 80 lbs. of salt when you fill your brine tanks. This will prevent the salt from bridging.
4.
Once a year we suggests that you clean your brine tank.
5.
Please read the instruction manual.
6. If your softener drain goes to the floor drain, you will see that it rises above the floor drain cover. This is required by the MN State Plbg. Code to prevent your water supply from coming in contact with any sewage.
