WATER CLOSETS (TOILETS)  - In the states attempt to conserve on water, they require by law that all water closets installed by licensed plumbers be the 1.6 gallon flush type.  We as Plbg. Contractors have no choice in this matter, but hopefully we can help you adjust to these new water closets.  The first thing you will notice about them is the small amount of water in the bowl and how shallow the bowl is.  Also the flushing action is a lot quicker than the old 3.5 Gallon flush toilets.  The new 1.6 gallon toilets also have a much smaller drain passage way, than the older style toilets.  For this reason we suggest that you buy a good quality toilet plunger, because at sometime they will plug on you.  DO NOT FLUSH ANY SANITARY NAPKINS OR TAMPONS DOWN YOUR TOILET.
