TUB & SHOWER FAUCET

All tub & shower faucets are required by law to be of the anti-scaled type with a 2.5 gallon per minute showerhead.  You can adjust the water temp.  on your tub and shower valve higher or lower by removing the handle and adjusting the limit stop either hotter or colder.  This way you can turn the faucet all the way open and not get burned by hot water.  Being that everyone’s choice of hot is too hot of water, you may have to adjust this setting to your personal liking.  What you will need for tolls will be a Phillips screwdriver and a small regular screwdriver.  Use the reg. Screwdriver to remove the screw from the handle.  After the handle is removed adjust the white limit ring a few notches on way or the other to get the desired temp.  You will also notice that the new style showerheads do not emit a lot of water.  This is to meet the 2.5 gallon per minute law.  Each showerhead has a flow restrictor in it and should NOT be removed.  If they are removed the eater heater will run out of water.  Even two 10-minute showers will reach the limit of a 40-gallon water heater.
