HOMEOWNERS
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Read all operating manuals.
2.
Light water heater pilot light, if it gets blown out by either wind or condensation
on burner.
3. Tighten packing nuts that have been opened & closed by homeowner or other contractors.
4. Unplug drains that have been plugged by improper use of disposal, toilets, or hair in tub drains.
5. Adjust water temp setting on tub and shower valves, if water heater temp control had been raised or lowered by
homeowner.
6. Re-dap fixtures seals as needed.
7. Drain lawn faucet lines if lawn faucets are not frost-free. See Pictures on page 3.
8. Use only good grade of softener salt, (such as Morton or Cargill White pellets) in water softener, and clean brine tank
once a year.
9. Clean hair from tub, shower and whirlpool drains.
10. Use proper amount of laundry soap, especially with softened water to prevent back ups of water in washer box or floor drain.
11. Become familiar with the proper usage and maintenance of plumbing equipment and fixtures.
12. To notify Service Dept. if you have a leak that can cause damage to cabinets, flooring, ceilings or woodwork so it can
be taken care of right away, before damage occurs.
13. To be available so service work can be done during normal working hours.
14. Not to over fill tubs or whirlpools so water goes into the emergency overflow. These overflows are for emergencies
only and are not designed to be 100% watertight.
NOTE All non-emergency service work has to be done during normal working hours. Monday-Friday.
