FROZEN WATER LINE
Most frozen water lines are caused by
two things.
1. Furnace
combustion air or make up air lines: The air lines are 6 or 8 black or
gray flexible line, which is dropped next to the floor by the furnace. This line provides fresh air to your home to make
up for the air that is exhausted from your home, furnace flue or exhaust fans.
2. DO NOT plug this line or block the airflow in any manner. What happens is that sometimes it is located too close to the water lines next to the floor, and in the cold weather it will case the water to freeze. If this happens, just re-direct the airflow and warm up the water lines with a hair dryer, while you have a faucet turned on. In a couple of minutes you will have running water. Make sure that you turn on the faucet that is frozen.
