EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

            What to do, if something occurs that cannot wait until the next working day. 

WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN EMERGENCY 

1.        The main sewer line is plugged and you cannot run any water. 

2.        There is a major water leak that cannot be shut off and will cause damage, if not corrected right away. 

3.        If you have a gas leak. 

WHAT IS CONSIDERED NOT EMERGENCY

And can wait until the next working day. 

1.        Pilot out on water heater. (See general information on how to light w/heater). 

2.        Plugged toilet.  If you cannot unplug it with a plunger, call during working hours and make an appointment with the 

           Service Dept. 

3.        Dripping faucet. 

4.        Leaks on toilet.  Shut water off to toilet and drain tank by lifting flapper. 

5.        Leaks on traps of tubs shower lavs, laundry tubs and kitchens sinks.  Discontinue the use of any fixtures with a leaky trap.  

           If you cannot discontinue the use of the fixtures, place a container below the leak to catch the water, to prevent any damage. 

6.        Questions regarding the shutting off and draining of lawn faucets in the fall. 

7.        Questions regarding the turning on of lawn faucets in the spring.
